Review of the oil price structure

Following notably, if not essentially the recent monetary redevelopment of the Burundi franc, the Minister of Commerce and Industry has just ordered the review of the oil price structure as well as its constitutive elements.

The new structure which replaces the one into force since January 15, 2002, is reflected by the raise of the oil products cost by 8 %, i.e BIF 780 for oil at the pump station versus BIF 720 previously and BIF 730 for diesel versus BIF 670 previously.

The Ministerial Order no 750/688 bearing the new price structure is dated September 10 , 2002.
