Hard Currency Auction: Session n°70

The 70th session of the hard auction sale was held on Tuesday October 15th, 2002 at the Central Bank with the attendance of all the commercial banks.

With a bid of USD 500,000 for the fourth consecutive week, the bank demand was amounting to US 3,150,000 and was met at only 16 %.

The bottom rate was fixed at USD = BIF 1,065 and the refernce rate was put up to USD = BIF 1,069.6243 versus rates comprising between USD = BIF 1,065 and USD = BIF 1,069,9999.
